Your top 3 things/events to photograph.
What 3 things/events/people whould you like to photograph (that you haven't yet done). Post your wishlist, maybe another member can help you reach your dream by introducing you to someone or taking you along with them. Lets see how many can acheive their goals.
My top 3 wishlist is:
1. The breaching Great Whites in Cape Town.
2. The Wildebeest migration over the rivers in the Serengeti (read Crocodile feast - you'll find out I love Crocs)
3. The Galapagos Islands.
Make your list worthwhile and challenging.
You can add non-nature events as well. My 4 and 5 would probably be F1 at Monaco and Angelina Jolie.

Re: Your top 3 things/events to photograph.
This is an easy one for me. In NO particular order whatsoever
1) A Natal Sharks Currie Cup or Super 12 game ( Sport photography is a life's dream for me)
2) MAJOR Springbok match at Loftus and even at Ellis (Preferably where we lift the Webb Ellis Trophy again or the Tri Nations shield, maybe even the Mandela Challenge and Madiba there as well)
3) A MAJOR Motorsport event, Either MotoGP or F1, or even MotoX world champs (Still bummed I never had the gear to get some pics of Rossi showing why he is the greatest racer alive today and maybe he will even show us on 4 wheels too one day)
Of course I need to get more substantial gear before any of these become a reality, unless someone can take me along and lend me a lens
My enthusiasm is all there, the experience I am still working on.

Re: Your top 3 things/events to photograph.
Interesting:
My photographic excursion wish list would be
1 The Serengeti as a natural biosphere over a year as seen through my lens.
2 The Namib desert from the south to the north in sweet light.
3 The "Birds of Paradise" of Papua-New Guinea (sp?) and Indonesia thorough my lens.
My 4 & 5 is a bit personal and I'll only mention it here if someone else comes up with something similar

Re: Your top 3 things/events to photograph.
Great Topic. Tough Choice.
1. Underwater photography over the Great Barrier Reef (must include photo's of Turtles)
2. Wildlife photography (not fussy where but could include Okavango, Serengeti, Masai Mara, Sabi-Sabi - photo's of Leopards mandatory)
3. Any aerial form of photography including from Helicopter, Glider, Hot-Air-Balloon, Bi-Plane, Jet
We can only keep dreaming hey!

Re: Your top 3 things/events to photograph.
What I would have loved to do is to make a still photography glossy page book of the Lion King.
Imagine all those characters.
Timone
Bumba
Scar.
The "witch doctor"
Lala
Simba and his dad
And those scaley Hyenas
Capturing all that interaction.
Ahh... while we are daydreaming

Re: Your top 3 things/events to photograph.
1. Top of my list is an eclipse in the midlle of the Sahara desert with an ice cold Windhoek next to the tripod. (2006 I believe, will we organise something?)
2. One full year of touring the Namib and Kalahari and taking pictures of the whole eco system from scorpions to Lion.
3. Taking a picture of some famous despot, catching the glint in his eye before a croc pulls him under
Enjoy Global Warming while you can, the next Ice Age is on its way........
