Jacaranda season coming soon

Dear all,

In a few weeks time the Jacarandas will be blooming again and I am keen to see if I can get a few nice shots this year. Somehow I never managed to get any real good shots in the past, so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or suggestions?

Maybe some of you would be willing to posta fewexamples in the gallery as well?

From experience, purple is one of the most difficult colours for a digital sensor to reproduce. Jacaranda flowers seldom look as spectacular on the screen or in print as they do in real life, and they invariably come out blue.

Hello to you all in Pretoria! How does it look, are the Jacarandas now in full bloom? I missed last year's, so please help! Where are the best spots this year?

I happened to be in Africa once during jacarandas season luckily.In Pretoria many roads are flooded with jacarandas from photography point of view.
