    Default Possible fraudulent ad

    Hi guys,

I've sent an email to Sean (Sean please feel free to delete this post if needed, I just wanted to get the word out quickly before anybody parted with any cash).
There's a new 7D advertised for R8550 on the classifieds section under cameras. I'm looking for a 7D but this raised some alarm bells because of

    - cheap price
    - lots of different contact names
    - lots of different addresses
    - no landline number and voicemail box full
    - they didn't own their own domain name

They seem to be advertising all over the place.

    Then I checked hellopeter -

I ordered and paid in full for an iPad from Afriglobe on 13/03/2012. The product was never delivered and Christine the sales manager is not responding to calls and emails. The courier (Mark) contacted me 3 days later and demanded more money for a second item (which I did not order) before a delivery would be made. Once I said I would not make any payments and that they should re-pack and deliver the correct order, I have not heard from them. They do not reply to emails and they do not answer their phones anymore when I call. I warn everyone to be weary of this company -they are definitely **********. Contact details to look out for: Afriglobe; Afrikaans Globe; 5 st David Road, East London, cell 0790 373 605, email [Email Removed] Danile

I'm not saying that it's definitely a fraudulent ad, just that it's worth being cautious.

If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.
