    Default Dogs

Took a few pics of a friend and their dogs ....

turned out to be a bit more of a challange than what I imagined.

The animals are MUCH faster than what I anticipated. And with totally eratic movement panning was not nearly as effective as with other moving objects.

not to mention the BLACK dog .... only a couple of pics that actually show any real detail of this dog, the brown one was much "easier" to get detail to show.

I am still busy with the final editing, and will post a few pics later.

In the mean time I would love to hear the basics of animal photography (as in running dogs) from those that know.

it's a bitch! try using a toy, like a ball with a predictable bounce. track the toy, or just behind it and shoot multiframe as the dog comes in on it. 12fps at 800th sec or faster will give freeze much of the action. try work against a clean backdrop or skyline. use a ground level camera viewpoint.
