Zululand wedding photographer needed on the 23 of July at Lodge!!!!!

Hey Guys and Gals,

I was going to do a wedding for an American couple that was going to get married at the Lodge (Thanda private game reserve) on the 23 of July (Monday), but due to some amazing set of circumstances the date was never mentioned to me ... so I am unable to be there as my backside will be in the Ngorongoro crater leading a Photo safari ...

The couple are looking to pay around R3000.00 for the photography with limit to amount of images ... for the function and their one on one shoot.

The groom is a photographer (who does weddings), he is willing to help a novice during the shoot ...

any body interested please mail me at etienne@thanda.co.za, this will not include a free night at the lodge, but a plan can be made for a bed night rate (staff rate)

After fuel (500km return from Durban) accommodation, food and prints I don't think you will clear much from 3K?

i also had a request a while back doing a wedding shoot there at a lodge. even if they pay for one overnight u actually need to stay the day before because its quite a drive from durbs. all the milage on your car is def not enough to justify the pay.

Wow! You get to shoot the wedding for R3000 net before expenses AND you get no accommodation AND you get the groom (who is a wedding photographer) to 'help' you do the shoot. Awesome!

Sorry to be sarcastic Etienne, but tell this tightwad American that he knows only too well that for him to pay US$370 for a wedding shoot is an insult to us. I hope he gets exactly what he is paying for.

It's a shame that the couple came all the way to an expensive private game reserve and then they are too stingy to pay for accommodation for the wedding photographer or to pay him sufficiently to do a decent job. I'll bet on it that there are no expenses spared for other luxury activities and things that they indulge in while they are here...

Anyway just the thought of a clever American Wedding Photographer who is willing to "help" is enough to send chills down one's spine...

Hey I didn't think of that. The regular guy uses an old B&W Polaroid with tear-offs. The more expensive dude has a Yashica twin lens reflex roll film camera. Processing takes a mere couple of months.
