    Default Window mount bean bag

This seems like a good idea. A bean bag with a mount so that you can fit a Wimberley.

I personally prefer the badger plate, as you can easily remove the two when driving (don't need to remove the benbag from your window as such) and the wide gritted bottom kinda "bites" into the beanbag to keep it steady

I have the Badger bag and plate combo but it does not give you the movement needed for catching a Lanner at work.

I mostly use the window mount with the Wimberley. They problem is that it is a pain to set up and dismount in the Kgalagadi. You cannot really drive with open windows because of the dust. Also takes up a lot of space inside the car.

Actually, There is a new Badger Footprint, which takes a Gimbal head (not the old panning plate)... so it's about the same as what you have up here, but it's two parts, not one, so when you need to dismantle and drive, it's just a tad smaller... will find a pic for you...

Both the beanbag and the plate has been completely re-designed and rebuilt

I tried my own concoction of badger bag, self made plate and Wimberley. All of this gets to be very bulky and not particularily stable. In the end, although I do not have quite the manouverability, I find the Badger bag on it's own with lens barrel resting on it works best for me.
