    Default Serengeti advise needed

    Hi all,

Im leaving for a trip to The Serengeti in two weeks. More specific the Masai Mara (will be there for one week). Any advise on equipment etc. My thaughts were to take 2 bodies (Nikon d7000) one 70-200VRII with a 2x converter and a 18 - 105VR. I do have the Sig 150 - 500 but prefer the Nikon Glass.

All advise will be greatly apreciated

Hi D&A my advise would be to use the long glass. The Masai Mara is nice and open and you will be to shoot from longer distances and in so doing get a better perspective. There are also instances that you just cannot get close enough to your subjects, here shooting with a 200-400 or 600 is going to be your best solution.
    Hope this helps..!
