Can't get hold of ODP!!

If you can't get hold of the people at Outdoorphoto, it's because something really big fell from one of the construction cranes onto something really expensive which made a big "boom" sound and then some fireworks... When the smoke came out, the tubes stopped functioning and viola... no power!

So if you are phoning and can't believe how rude they are for not picking up... it's because there is no power for the phones/servers/tills and worse of all... the COFFEE MAKER!

Hopefully power will be restored by our efficient electricity providers soon!

In the meantime, Please stop at wimpy or the QuickShop on your way to ODP and feed a salesrep...

but it still does not compare to the multiple times the water supply got cut during the construction .... "best" was when one of the beauty salons had NO water and clients were sent home WITH their "face masks" in place ..... hehehehe .... skuus, mag nie lag nie .... HAHAHA .....

Sean, we have the occasional power outage here and have purchased two power boxes with inverters from http://www.phdpowerhouse.co.za/ their prices are good.

hehehe... everything runs on UPS, but if the power to the telkom exchange also goes out, you are still stuck without phones. We have 3G backups (data and Credit card machines - on batteries), but that just gets overwhelmed as well as the cell connection on the phones going out... and the coffee maker seriously drains the battery pack and inverter!

No jokes we have a gas and camping / cooking thingymajig for making coffee when the powers out. Its like camping with out leaving the office. Just gota love South Africa but I'm sure it happens all aver the world.
