Is it possible to shoot the Nikon D3100 tethered to a pc using win 7 ultimate 64?
I have tried to tether my D3100 to the laptop and shoot directly into adobe bridge but am having no success. Is it possible? This is my first attempt at doing any tethered shooting and I know absolutely nothing about it at all.
I have downloaded a script from adobe (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchang...698268#extinfo) which is supposed to allow me to shoot directly into bridge but I have no idea where to point the program to look for images once connected by cable to the camera. Where do the photos go or do they not move from the camera to the computer?
Any assistance from those with more knowledge on the subject would be very welcome!

Make sure the cameras USB mode isn't set to mass storage mode

I didn't know you could do that... I thought the Nikons need Nikon Capture or at least Lightroom to be able to shoot tethered?

Thanks for the responses - I had a look on Adobe and saw this script someone has written which allows shooting directly into bridge. I have managed to find out that the d3100 only operates in ptp so that is not an issue. I suppose I should be asking where I should point bridge to find the files sent from the camera.
