    Default VSLR Camera Sliders

I saw some quite amazing sliders on Camera Light - What are your opinions on using sliders in videos?

Sliders are great and give your shots an awesome feel. This is my first slider attempt

You need some time to setup equipment so it's not something that fits comfortable into your camera bag but worth the effort.

Any kind of planned camera movement is great, it makes footage more dynamic. Working with a slider is a great idea, moving and setting up just takes time, but then again, so does basically any great shot. This specific one you mentioned above has the tendency to twist if not set up exactly flat, and cannot be set up on a single tripod head which is very limiting.

Yea, taking 2 tripods on a shoot is overload my back.

Also, Sliding, then in post adding a slow zoom and a pan can give a nice dolly feel but takes a bit of practing to get it right.

If you're going to get a slider make sure you don't waste your money on some of the cheap rubbish out there. Rather save and purchase a good one. We've just taken delivery of one from Digital Juice and it's a winner. Also check out BH Photo Video, they have an excellent selection.

Where in South Africa can you buy camera sliders, or would you recommend buying over the internet (overseas)?
What is the import costs on such equipment?
