What are the trade-in numbers? Say for a 30D->7D.
I was there looking at a used 7D, couldn't pull the trigger because of it "war scars" and price, this trade-in story has me all.......

The cameras tend to move relatively fast though... currently there is a 1DmkIII for about R15k in the cupboard

Still no sign of the much anticipated v2 firmware for the 7D !!!
Checked the Canon site today and still only v1.2.5

I was kind of hoping when cameratek supplied me with a 7D loan unit that it might have accidentally found it's way onto it… but it hadn't

Re: Canon 7D firmware, and the 650D
Firmware v2 will roll out across the region from August 2012.
As disappointing as it is August has 30 other days that qualify so I'll wait until September before crying foul.

Re: Canon 7D firmware, and the 650D
I check Canon's website once a week to see if the firmware is available. I shall patiently wait, not sure whether it is going to make a serious difference to my use of the cam.
The one thing which I am contemplating is switching to RAW completely
