    Default SAMSUNG SyncMaster SA100

    Everyone, please help!

I bought a Samsung 19" monitor and everything is distorted, the monitor is slow in that it does not immediately show what I am typing, everything is all squiff.

There MUST be a resolution to this?

    ALL advice will be tested!!!

Ah this is a classic electromagnetic quantum pixel disruption problem that occurs when the moons align around Saturn. Luckily it's easily fixed by pre-heating the oven to 220'C then applying a layer of chocolate cake mix on the front of the monitor and baking for about 60 minutes. When in a molten state allow monitor to cool & solidify and try said monitor again, pixels should be rearranged properly. Removing your monitor from a closet might also help for squiffness.

If all the above doesn't work there could be a problem with the graphics card or incorrect resolution settings on the desktop. The slow response time would indicate a problem with the PC itself & not so much with the monitor.

AAAAH, I thought it is because my sun sign is Gemini and the baking powder was Royal not Moirs and I did not add enough vanilla essence?

I was actually also told to put it in the freezer as I am accessing too much hot stuff on the internet.

However, thank you for the great laugh! I loved it! I'll check the graphics card installation - it could very well be that.

Assuming it's a PC, it could also be your screen refresh rate. Go to your desktop and right-click anywhere on the screen and then select Properties; Settings, Advanced; Monitor. Make a note of the current refresh rate so that you can go back to it if necessary, then try out the various options. My Samsung Syncmaster runs at 60Hz, but every different graphics card might yield different preferences that work for that setup.
