Renting a lens on safari? Take out insurance!
Thinking of renting extra lenses etc for that special safari trip of a lifetime?
Well, make sure you've got insurance cover in place, in case something like this happens to you:

P.S. I think this animal is a Canon shooter! LOL

I wonder if Yellowstone have lenient park rules unlike Sanparks?
I was photographing a coyote here in Yellowstone and I followed it into the woods about 300yds
away from the road.
That would count against him not?

In Yellowstone the easiest way to spot game to look for the crowds of people standing on the side of the road!
Seriously, if there is any restriction nobody obeys it. For us, coming from "lion country" we found it very strange to see that everyone gets out of their car immediately when they sight a bear. The "soft, cuddly" instinct appears to override the "sharp claw, big teeth" reality.

I believe you can actually hike and camp in Yellowstone
I would be a bit ridiculous to not allow people to get out of their cars, if they can go on hike...

The first pic is actually well composed and the focus is spot on.

Roberto..... As strange as it seems this is exactly what happens in Canada. We visited the Kannanaskis NP which is home to both black and brown bear. At one point we stopped at a designated picnic spot, exited the car, ate lunch, and then went on a walk down a trail through the forest to see a particular signposted geological formation. On our way back we encountered a large brown bear, fortunately walking away from us, but one did not need to be a rocket scientist to work out that he must have been within meters of us when we first walked down the path.

Do not even have to go to a wildernes park for this one and I wonder how one explain this to the insurance.

this is very strange, especially for a country that prides itself on being the place where you really CAN sue ANYONE for ANYTHING at ANY TIME...!!
