Astra, I think the problem is more on the support side. With no repair/Distributer network in SA, you are a bit stuck if they fail for some reason. If you see them as a 'consumable' and have a few in your bag then, no problem.

Just thinking that if you want full manual, then the Nissin 622 is actually closer than the lumos? Not sure about the power output, the two sites I found them on didn't actually specify the ISO100 "unzoomed" GN
If they match in power, then the Nissin is R600 bucks or so cheaper.
