Default Have you used the ION Slide to PC?

Anyone with experience in using the ION Slide to PC scanner advertised by Incredible Connection please share your experience with me. I want help in deciding whether to buy one or not.

    Thanks, Z

I have used one to digitize a number of 35mm negatives, it worked very well.
I'm never serious unless I have to be.

I have one and use it to scan old colour and B&W negs as well as slides. It works well from negatives and produces reasonable images from them, but it doesn't work as well getting good results from transparencies. Any method used to scan trannies results in a gain in constrast, so the problem is not restricted to just this unit. It's value lies in the ability to digitise those boxes of unused slides in the back of a cupboard somewhere and get them out in the open where they can be viewed and shared digitally. It's never going to produce commercial quality though, but it doesn't cost much so it's reasonable bang for reasonable buck.
