Leo, I have done some extensive research on these monitors. The ones I was looking at were Asus, HP and Dell. Of course Eizo is the best but sooo pricey
I eventually chose the Asus PA246Q because I could get one cheaply for R 6 490. It is 8 bit and with dithering can get to 10
It has 4 presets, Standard, sRGB, RGB and User Mode. The sRGB and RGB can only be modified with brightness. So if you think you can beat the factory calibrated sRGB and RGB you can try it in User Mode. It comes with a calibration certificate specifically to the monitor you bought
I now have 2 monitors, the other one is a Samsung Syncmaster P2270 (21 ") and if somebody tells me there is no difference between 21" and 24 " they had better think again. The Asus is so much better
    Would welcome your comments

    Leo, ...
    Why me Lord?

Had a quick look at the specifications and some reviews - it looks very good!

The most important part - it MUST have an IPS panel - and yours does. After that, good electronics and proper calibration plays an important part to get the IPS panel to reproduce the best possible image.

In computers, a monitor is a computer display and related parts packaged in a physical unit that is separate from other parts of the computer. Notebook computers don't have monitors because all the display and related parts are integrated into the same physical unit with the rest of the computer.
