    Default Nikon D3200

Looks like this will be launched next week. Rumoured to have 24mp... So much for the MP-race being over

Anybody want to start a new SD-card business?

Oh Lord, thank You for the 80-200 f2.8 - can now finally take pictures of the dog and kids running through the sprinklers...

So, a 24Mpix DX sensor, greater pixel density than the D800 in DX mode.... WOW...

Now Nikon PLEASE let us have a D300s upgrade also with 24Mpix... Please.

    Regards

I would love to see a 36 mp D300s replacement, but I have a feeling that Nikon is not going to make another semi-pro DX SLR.

Well if they don't I'm gonna be rather disappointed/miffed/annoyed/pissed. The D7000 is just NOT a replacement for the D300s. It's missing too many direct controls to be labelled as such. As good as the D7000 is, it is not as fast to work with as the D300s is. Quite honestly I would've been over the moon with a D400 that looks and feels exactly the same as the D300s but had one extra fps, a larger buffer and the D7000's sensor. If a replacement is launched it will probably have all I mentioned, but the A77's 24mp sensor. Kiss your old tiny 16gb 60mb/s CF cards goodbye

I suppose that, with 24MP on an APS-C sized sensor, you'll soon find out which of your lenses are really as good as you think they are.

A D3200 will drop the price of the D7000. Despite the 8MP difference, it (D7000) will probably still be a better camera than the the D3200 meaing all new entries to photography have some very good options out (Remember the D5100 is there as well)
