    Default Clamp Lights

    Hello,

I'm trying to find some clamp lights like this:

Does anyone know where I may find one - I'm in Durban?

It's a pity you are not here in Pretoria. I have one and a couple of photo flood bulbs lying around.
I'm never serious unless I have to be.

    Ah damn!

I bought a 85Watt CFL and wired it up in an existing light fitting - it looks like this now:
It seems to work although it does cast quite harsh shadows.

Pooky it appears it is better to use a number of smaller globes. set up your rig so that you can switch them on individually - this way you can manipulate the amount of light (and shadows) to some extent. Next step would be to build this into a rig that allows you use it as a softbox.

this is actually my next little home build experiement.

I read camp lights and got quite confused :O
Better to be occasionally cheated than perpetually suspicious.
