    The ‘release candidate’ label indicates that this update is well tested but would benefit from additional community testing before it is distributed automatically to all of our customers. The final release of Lightroom 4.1 may have additional corrections or camera support.

    OK. Downloaded, installed and converted my 3.6 catalogue. Everygthing seems good except that the register item in the menu is greyed out. Will I only need to pay for the upgrade when the 4.1 release comes out?

    Henk,

    A release candidate should (repeat) should have all the functionality of the final post - I will work my 3.6 and wait for the final version. And then I will wait for the boys to sort things out before I migrate.

    BUT, I do hope they dont take too long ..... by the sounds of it, LR4 has some NICE improvements to LR3
