    Default Samsung 24A35H Monitor

    Anybody familiar with this monitor and if so what are their thoughts? A local computer shop is offering it at R2600.

    How does it compare with the Dell U2311H?
    I hope one day to be as perfect as my dog thinks I am.

    I can’t get the specs of the Samsung 24A35 on Samsung’s web page to compare. I have the Samsung SyncMaster LED BX2450 with excellent results.

    Search for an IPS monitor if you want to use it for photography - the 24a35 does not come up!

    Many monitors will look good, but unless you have seen excellent images on a calibrated IPS monitor - you will not know what you are missing.

    Do not think you an walk into a shop and buy what looks good - monitors in a shop are not calibrated, the staff will not know what you are talking about.

    You will have to buy on specification, calibrate it yourself and go from there…

    Search ODP = there has been many discussions on this matter.

    There's no way an IPS monitor will cost that. I have the BX2450 at work and it's a fantastic monitor, LCD with LED technology but certainly not a proper IPS monitor.
