I agree, it will have me impulsively pushing my credit card in to the red, saying that, I am happy with my X-100 for now.

Not interested in paying to test a camera. I'll gladly pay for it if its what I'm lookin for.

Same with me, I am off to Kameraz tomorrow to get a Vanguard pistol grip for my tripod, hopefully I can feel and touch.

Enjoy, really is nice, just hope the firmware update for the M-Mount adapter also fixes the laggy EVF, then its a definite buy. Let us know how you feel about the EVF once you've tried it.
    Thanks.

Is the EVF same as the X100?

Not sure, it is larger, but I don't know if it's actually larger or, if only the glass in front of it, and the magnification provided has changed. I must say that when I was playing with the X100 at the Dome (Photo and Film), I don't remember it having any of the lag that I experienced with the X-Pro1.

I got to feel and touch the camera today, the battery was 'porridge' so I could only feel and touch, a few things I liked.
The buttons seem better placed and feel a bit more fluid.

It looks much bigger than than the X-100 but doesn't feel much bigger.
The camera is also a little less cluttered than the X-100.

The exposure comp is a bit more hidden, this I liked.
The shutter control knob has a "safety release button" (lack of better words)

Sadly it did feel a little plastic to me, but that's just me.
I love my x-100, it's one of those I would like to keep forever.

The Olympus OM-D might just give the X-pro a run for it's money, but purely from a price perspective, that Fuji viewfinder might just be worth some money

I went back about a week ago to fetch an X-Pro1.

Mixed bag so far, I'm hoping the thumbs-up and half-case will improve the ergonomics. Missing loads of shots due to misfocus/backfocus issues. Also seems to be over-exposing by about a stop vs the 5dII.
The silly camera is also drawing a lot more attention than I thought it would... :-( I get less questions when shooting with the 5d, guess people are just way more used to SLR's.

Here is a snap of the X-Pro1 next to my other digital cameras.

Beautiful camera! Well I noticed with my Fuji X10, on EXR mode, it would overexpose a little bit, turned it down by 2/3rd's of a stop and got improved results with less highlights blown.

It's beautifully sharp when you nail it.. But unfortunately I'm not nailing it nearly as often as I do with the 5D. I need practice, very different from the way I usually shoot, but still very very fun to play with.
I'll get an image up of the "completed" camera once the thumbs-up, soft-release, strap and half case arrive. Will hopefully be by the end of the week.

Ok. I've eventually gotten around to doing a quick post. http://blog.vdrielc.com/x-pro1-best-shots-so-far
I have a few more images up on the blog and a little bit of comment on my "issues" with the camera so far.

As promised, here is an updated picture. The last items arrived today.
I think the strap might be a little small for me, the half case feels good, looks great. The thumbs-up was THE best investment of the lot, closely followed by the soft release.
