I have to agree, and i do support ODP fully, as i did all these years. Wonderful site, with some very helpful people, and friendly, if not downright homely members.
I like the site so much in fact, that i wanted to browse much more, than i was able to for some time. Hope all will be resolved, where ever the problem might be. Pity that the slowness only affected ODP (for me, that is), as it is the place i visit the most.
A very nice tip that. I have been tab browsing like that for a while, opening various images, and missed it when the "un known slow bugish monster" infected my side of the web.
Thanks again Sean, sure u had some hair pulling days with this. Appreciate.

Have to agree about the ODP site and the level of concern and attention to detail as far as customer complaints and service go!Well done Sean and all those involved in making this my number one site that i visit whether the site is slow sometimes or not.
I have had to deal with big corporations in the last few days regarding service and the lack thereof and it is appalling in the way they treat their customers especialy when it is their mistakes that need to be rectified.
I can sometimes relate to why people go crazy and walk into places guns blazing.......!

So to all you guy's and gals.....Superb service.......you are a breath of fresh air!!!!

Two days, no problems, fast as ever. Whatever the reason, thank goodness.......

Rights... A few people have had super luck with the site the last few days, and others have been complaining that they take a minute to get to a page...

Just to give you a few updates... Last night the site was hacked, and cleaned up, and today at about noon we did a few major upgrades...

We have updated the database software on the server
We have upgraded the access settings
We have updated the forum software
We have closed up all possible data connections that does not possibly have to be open
We have reduced keep Alives (a person who drops a connection still keeps the server busy)
We have moved the database to another server

Over the next few days we will be doing more software upgrades on the server...

Let us know if something goes hectically wrong

I tried to phone you again yesterday Sean, but you were a very "wanted" man the past week or so. From my side I just wish to thank you (and all others involved) for all the work that has gone into the site, especially the last few days. Sorry ladies and gents... seems a few bigger bugs did creep in (like not being able to comment on images)... we are working on getting those sorted ASAP!
