Database error
Hi all.
Since the "code error virus thingy" , ODP takes ages to load, and i get "database errors" every now and again. Rest of my pages, on all other sites load in a flash. No problems.
Anyone with the same problem?
Any help out there, as it gets to a point, where i can,t connect to ODP at all?
Thanks guys.
Charissa

Re: Database error
Must say, it is starting to irritate me a lot. Battle to post one image without lag or errors or "server not found". Anyone out there that can fix this? As i said, only with ODP, no other forum or website!

Re: Database error
Me too.....irritated to hell. Seems to have stopped now, but I'm certainly not going to hold my breath, as it's been a on+off situation all month.
Check this tread.....you not the only one experiencing the slow site problems. http://www.outdoorphoto.co.za/forums...506#post248506
Pity no one at ODP bothered to even acknowledge this thread.

Very common on and off most days for quite a while now. When I was posting adverts yesterday I had to take a few goes on each advert before I didn't get the database error message and the ad went through ok, extremely irritating
You can pull the wool over some peoples eyes some of the time, however, you can never pull the wool over everyones eyes all the time .

Re: Database error
I find it quite difficult to connect to the galleries. It takes for ages to load the galleries if at all.

Re: Database error
Today was fine, loaded as per normal, but had to re load a few pages last night, so much so, that i decided to just give up on any comments or posting on ODP till later. Took me a few tries just to reply to the thread on the 15th.
And not to sound like a broken record, i have no problems with any other sites.
Also, a battle to open multiple photos, and comment on them, as i usually do. SLOW is not even the correct word, and sometimes, it will just go directly to "dreaded database error."
Agree with Allan, a on-off thing.

Re: Database error
Yes, I must agree with Charissa, John and Allan...The Database error is an on/off thing and can be irritating to the point of just leaving the site and trying again later, or just having a few "refreshes". Sometimes this works and sometimes not...

Amen to that Ros. Been having this problem for quite a while now, and still battle to open more than one image in the gallery.
Also go to the link above and say what u did here. Seems as if this thread is a bit dead, no response.
I also notice a general decrease in comments, views etc overall on the gallery (or to specify, macro, avian and landscape, which is the ones i mostly browse), so i think more people than just us is a bit tired of waiting and refreshing images. I use to browse quite a lot, but tend to just bypass ODP at this stage, and if i do make the effort, get so irritated, i wished i had not.
