Fantastic Leopard sighting in Kruger
Uhm...can one 'brag' about a 'sighting'? I'm gonna do it anyway (sorry Mods)! Some of you may have seen my image posted last week which is now in the Weekly Choice gallery for Nature here on ODP.
Here is an in-depth blog post about the entire sighting, how it came about, how I prepared for getting the shots, how I waited for hours at the kill when everyone was driving by, how the weather conspired against me, and how it all was over within seconds. Obviously accompanied by some more images from the sighting to add some visuals to the text.
Would love your thoughts...also feel free to leave a comment on my blog if you like what you see.

Re: Fantastic Leopard sighting in Kruger
This is such a great read Morkel and as wildlife photographers we all talk about how it's a patience game. I've watched NatGeo documentaries where they've waited days/weeks for an event to happen and although you didn't go that far, within the constraints you had; you certainly pushed your patience to the limit (and probably your families! ). With great results mind you! Thanks for sharing!

Re: Fantastic Leopard sighting in Kruger
That was a really good shot, with a proper narrative on how it came about, and very worthy of its place in the WC gallery.

Morkel, stunning. I think if this was on the main road south, between Skukuza/LS your patience would have been different. Traffic jam galore.

And then still be so stupid as to ask what I am looking at.
Eish, blood still boiling thinking about that.
