Very affordable for somebody who's never bought a version of Photoshop and want to go 'Legal'.

I can't see myself paying $399 for 5.5 right now... I'll stay with production premium 5.0 and wait for the next 'major' upgrade...

The thing that does interest me is 'Warp Stabilizer' in After effects... That could come in quite handy with handheld video shooting... Not sure how good or effective it is, but does look interesting.

Looking at how Apple dropped the price of Final Cut (expected) I think adobe is heading that way...

Trust me 5 to 5.5 is actually a major major improvement. I love 5.5 Production Premium.

Also remember you use the software to make good money, so it's not expensive at all.

Adobe is running a promotion until September to take advantage of the FCPX fiasco by offering 50% off on the entire Production Premium CS5.5 when switching over to Adobe, that's R6000 for the entire suite!
