That sucks, I'm sure they'll have one up and running for the 60d soon. I was so glad that I owned a 550d When I found out that they had completed the firmware for it. I used to own a 7d and was thinking about selling my 550d but then In the end I sold the 7d cause the firmware basically turns the 550d into a 7d (obviously not the dual digic 4 processors) But in terms of features, like iso, and kelvin white balance, and so much more than even a 7d has.

I'm loving it. With the AGC off you can actually use the audio from the camera now. It is freaking insane!

60D version finally getting closer, installed ML on my 60D and looks pretty impressive. Auto restarting recording & peaking is a real plus!

Tried installing it on my 5DII a while ago. Wasn't very stable, so i'll rather wait, I'm sure its release is not far away. Trammel Hudson is a hero for making this software available!

There is a new Unified version out, it adds features for photographers as well. I'm keen to give it a try but worried about "bricking" my 550D

Surely you just switch your phone off, remove the SD, delete the software off the SD and try again?

I'm going to give it a try today, some of the new features are interesting. The focus assist in particular and the stacking feature, as well as the HDR bracketing... heck there are plenty new features

I can't find my SD card reader at the moment, so have not had a chance to try it out. Have you?

Got it installed, a lot of features and tweaks to play with

Indeed I have but not sure what to do with it yet :-)

I think I may try the focus stacking option and the motion detection option is pretty cool.

I have used the photo options quite a bit. especialy the audio trigger I havent used the video much. The unified version is fairly stable on the 60d. they are able to do video on the 50d aswell.

    I have been using
    • Remaping the vidio to CA or C on the dail
    • The Magic zoom with split screen when manualy focusing
    • The auto zoom to 100% when zooming in
    • Kelvin based - Custom white ballance
    • The audio trigger - For family portraits - of my own family - say cheese and when they say cheese the camera takes the photo.
Then I've played with but haven't used it much are
    • HDR bracketing
    • Intervelometer
    • Motion detect
    • Aute Expose to the right ETTR
The latest version ( 2011/12/02) cleaned up the menus considrably and it now looks profesional and unerstandable, without first needing to read all of the ML forum news group posts.

The latest version 0.2.2 "22 December 2011" (called the xmas release). The unified is for the 550D 60D 600D 500D 50D.
Very stable on Canon 60D. I made a $20 donation via Paypal and I received a link to the ML code. I can now write my own features. LOL If only I knew how.

Went to Monte Casino Bird Gardens on Sat to try out some ML features. 9X bracketed shots very nice to have that dynamic range if you need it.

My next project is to do a 5x bracket timelapse of a sunset. Photomatix will do 5X batch processing for you.
