Im also not crazy about the white background, it's too bright. I preferred the more black feel of the old site

Also You need to try and "separate" the post content from the signatures, titles, banners, avatars, etc. I am stuggeling to read it at this stage, the previous format was easier, and more comfortable to browse.

Lastly I have a error when searching the market place. When I search for a topic and it happens to be under cameras and lenses and Accessories, it displays on multiple pages as it always did but when you go to the second page it loses the search and goes to the mixed second page off total Items for sale. Uhm not sure if you will understand this.... maybe search for pentax as see what it does.

But now since ODP has changed, I do not have a picture thingy there at all, just a blank button with "Outdoorphoto" written underneath.

Forgot to add: everytime I open the page with speed dials, it searches for a screen capture/image to use for this ODP speed dial.

I do not see this as I see a subtle box round the text and the background a shade darker? This using the latest FF and a calibrated dell monitor

The very top row of buttons ( forum / shop / calssifieds etc ) somehow look a bit outdated against the rest of the page

Some of the logon screen elements are overlapping

Takes a bit of getting used to.. but looks good so far
When saving posts to desktop for later reading, the page just saved wants to be overwritten which is irritating..
In other words thread pages should save as page-1, page-2 etc., not the same title.
The old site handled this well.

I'd like to see the navigation buttons centered across the middle - not scrunched over to the left side...
alternatively, move the frequently used links e.g. 'new posts' to the right end (next to Quick links)

Something I'm quite miffed about, is the big grin isn't green enough,
but especially, the angry face isn't red enough when I'm really pissed

Do you have Adblock Plus as an add-on?
EDIT : I see you do. Mine was on and it caused the overlapping.

Adds anoying, reading bad.

I have on the right in some forum, ODP logo, then it goes trough 10 camears in less than 5 seconds. I hate adds but this is read anoying, like someone testing his flash against my eye.
Change the delay from less than 500 milli second to at least 5 seconds.
Growing pains, this is what you get with CMS systems.

While we at it, last year allready I mentioned that the GPS coordinates in Exif didn’t display correct. Rather disable it or fix. I will try to submit a photo later today specificly on this BUG.

Two pages, and I feel like I have tried to locate the filament in a bright spotlight, clean look is one thing, but trying to read text against this background is really taxing :-(

Like the new look. However, when I change the order in the galleries (post date/descending) it works fine for that login. When I login again, these settings revert to the default.

In the classifieds, only the lower half of the picture in the index are clickable (probably using mapping that doesn't cover the whole image.) I change the number of ads to 24 per page and the first page displays fine. When I go to the second or subsequent pages, its back at 12.

I'm using FF 3.6, and, yes, I do have cookies on!

The upload file manager in my opinion is one step back. I don’t store my files in default windows directories, eventually found the basic browser option, to upload this image. Designed by a kid in school.
Like the new MSN taking old menus options away. Only accessed with hidden keys. I stopped using it because of that.

Displaying wrong the first time.
I just oploaded the second screen shot, now it seems it defaulted to basic setting that is OK.

One more, something is wrong with the screen sizing. I have to use scroll bars now to edit post. Like now the save buttons hidden away.

The previous site worked much better.

Perhaps add a option to still use old layout, as bugs get sorted out.

One more, line breaks dont show corect when re-edit post. They get lost, but somehow after post displays correct. This was also a issue with previous site.

On win7 64, IE, 1920x1200 screen. Win setting, screen size set to medium, 125% for buttons.

I also find the background a little bright. This in itself does not worry me. What worries me is that individual posts etc do not stand out. What about a white background but with each post in a slightly darker box (ie light brown to fit in with the theme).

The other thing that I miss is in the galleries page. I view the photos every morning and used to do it by sorting all the galeries by views in the the last day descending. I can no longer do this. I can still sorts by views decending, but only on an individual gallery. I want to be able to do this over all galleries.

This makes it much tougher for me to view the images.

The way "spy" is working now, to slow, adding no benefit.

Sorry, I don’t want to sound negative, take this as positive feedback, for a frequent user finding so many annoying errors, ai frustrating. I am all for change, just this CMS system has many issues overlooked that was addressed by the old system. Makes browsing and posting problematic.

Let me know where I can help to review and see what I reported fixed.

Adding one more, the ODP logo in the background on the forums very distracting. Active Text on top of a logo doesnt work.

The comment was made that you won't please 22000 members.. this is true and I'm afraid I am one of them. It's difficult to read and track posts on the forum, the spy is worthless with all the garbage posts inbetween.. the galleries don't compliment the images... it's like we have gone back three steps.. the interface has become slow... I have spent quite a lot of time on the site over the last 24 hours and it's as if it becomes an effort instead of pleasurable reading... I know this is not what anyone wants to hear but it's the way that I feel and see things..

I would also prefer a little colour in the BG. The white is just too bright for my eyes.

Robbie, agree 100% I think the active members that post a lot, feel the same. It is frustrating to move from an excellent medium back to the dark days.

Its like day and night, a child designed this site CMS, where someone with some experience paid attention to make posting and browsing plesurable on the old forum site. In just the few minutes I found more than a few bugs.

I havent even looked at the rest, just forums.

I am sure big H and his team will sort this out, just annoying.
