You mean Internet explorer? which version... We had a client this morning that was running IE7 with the same complaint... Installed firefox, and everything runs smoothly... We are still working on the separate stylesheets for IE6/7/8 - fix one and break something else

when I click on my "profile", i used to get to a summary page that shwed latest comments, latest uploads, my most popular by view images, etc, etc. Now, i just go straight to private messaging and the summary page has disappeared into cyberspace. can anybody help? Also, the forum pages run off my screen for about 20 kilometers... and i have to use horizontal scrolling to read the forums. the scrolling also is very jerky...not smooth. makes following or responding very tricky. Dear Agony Aunt; is this something i should take personally?

It's now split in two... top right, "My Profile" and "Settings"...

My profile has most of what you are looking for, Settings has one or two extra's (appart from updating your settings) like subscribed threads that's been updated since your last visit, but that you have not yet been to (and also "All subscribed threads")

As for the scrolling and slow response... are you perhaps on IE7?

Sorry, you should go down that thread and find my reply.

    "Yep, .................................................. .................................................. ........."

After I posted the ghost, took 2 of the dots away to make a zebra crossing.

Lets see how this one looks after I post.

PS, Yep, the same. when you edit it is OK, but when displayed the zebra here again. Try for yourself.

Can we agree and call this one the Zebra bug ?

Sean, when you type in a long series of characters vbulletin splits them up (apparently to groups of 50). It has done for as long as I can recall.

    eg

    12345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890 1234567890123456789012345678901234567890
    abcdefghigjlmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghigjlmnopqrstuvwx yzabcdefghigjlmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghigjlmnopqrstuv
    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Sorry sean. williams explained it better. And with the dots it doesnt go to a new line, just add a space. Edit this post and you see the spaces between the dots go away as supposed to be.

If this has always been like this, fine, I didnt know, or is this a bug then with the new extended window format

Myself havent had much sleep the last week, so excuse.

    Ah yes...

    No, It's not a bug... it's a feature

What happens is that if some bugger decides to fall asleep (off course, no reference to you Hannes ) on his keyboard and puts in 4,223 characters into a single word, the software doesn't know where to cut the word, so it will push out the side of the forum and cause massive scrollbars. This way, the text will just wrap to a new line (some browsers will do it automagically when it reaches a soft window edge, but especially older browsers will not)

Sorry then for the wasted space.

I think I just stumbled on another bug.

I replied to a PM, and now can't see the message in the "Sent items". In fact, my sent items list is completely empty, and I know I had a couple of sent items that I didn't delete before the new ODP.

Damn I hope the recipient got my PM, as it was a rather lengthy one. Would hate it if all that typing disappeared (especially given my typing speed!)

Sorry if it's been covered but I'm now officially lost... For the life of me I can't find where to delete pics from my gallery... GPS anyone?

thanks Sean. indeed IE7 it was. upgraded to IE8 massive scrolling and jerks gone away. however. my profile has EVERYTHING except that summary page which gives me the option of MY COMMENTS (as made on images in the gallery) I still can't find that page which summarises gallery elements (recent pics, recent comments, etc)

Under general settings (http://www.outdoorphoto.co.za/forums...do=editoptions), in the private message section, make sure there is a tick for "Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default".

I note that the site is still very iPad unfriendly.

Edit your images... The delete checkbox is there, with the "are you really really sure" double question.
