Nope, designed to be able to shrink and grow according to screen/window size, which make complicated formatting a pain

The bg on my screen is a soft white and I hope it will stay that way. I also prefer the clean look of the images without borders/frames. Maybe members can add their own borders to their photos before posting.

The ads on the right seem to prevent this from happening effectively.

It's a vbulletin plugin that formats the page differently for mobile devices. Especially handy for blackberry users.

We have a .mobi site as well, but right now it just refers back to the original page. The original mobi plugin didn't work well at all... once we get the forum sorted, we will look into that again

Oh no, walked into a completely new site, wasn't expecting all this change, definitely something that I will have to get use to over time. Personally I prefered the previous look but I'm sure this will grow on me pretty soon.

The Galleries options, can they not be moved to the top?

Pretty subdued ... I like it!

Galleries still need some final touches I think (such as automatic borders around pictures and a light/dark gradient background) but eventually all the nitty gritties of upgrading will be fixed.

    Thanx for the effort guys!

Print screen button and then crop in photoshop, save to web and post (windows)
on Mac it's cmnd + Shift + 4 drag a square that you want to grab, let go and the grab will be on your desktop ready to upload

Pleasure... we try, but pretty sure we won't be able to satisfy al 22,000 odd members

As to the gallery... we are still stuck between two fires.. the lightbox effect replaced the gradient view (mouse over the image to see) and the borders is a toughy... some people add borders to their images for portfolio display, and others do not... if we add a border, we make the borderless stand out... if we leave the border, we don't interfere with image which already has a border...

Noted and keeping an eye on it

Using FireFox - the up to date most current version along with a Cell C black stick (supposedly the fast one).
I do have latency issues on and off, but the galleries are truly crawling, where my other pages (different sites) are coming in as per normal average speed.

    It's slow . . . using FF over a broadband connection.

Not crazy about the white background, it's too bright.

You need to try and "separate" the post content from the signatures, titles, banners, avatars, etc.
Right now it's all merging into a mush of text. One line comments are being swamped by all the
    surrounding stuff.

The individual Classifieds have no visual structure, again, just a mass of text.

I understand the need to move on, but the previous format was easier, and more comfortable to browse.

Tested it now on ie8 - it may run a little faster (opening gallery images) but still not blitsvinning.
Also, while we're talking, I'm not so sure about the hover-over black BG. The previous grey scale slide was very nice, imo.

    hmmm... thanx Irene.

Ok... seems the bug reports have slowed down a bit... we have about 24 that we need to fix.

thankyou to everybody that sent me bugs or posted them here. We really appreciate the help!
