Re: Breakfast run to Matjiesfontein
I wonder how long it will stay on youtube... mind you, maybe they are not that clued up on South African music
Next time, maybe use music that is released for AV's and podcasts (like Podshow's selection)

Re: Breakfast run to Matjiesfontein
The music you used is copyrighted and may not be used without the publishing entity's permission.
Youtube has a automatic flagging system when it finds copyrighted material (or if somebody flags it as copyrighted) and then generally gives you the option to remove all sound, or re-upload a new version of the piece.
Alternatively, they have certain agreements with artists where the artist that is infringed upon have the option to leave the piece and youtube will then place a sub banner or pre-roll ad on the piece, the profits being split with youtube and the artist (thereby paying the artist the fee for publication use)
Podshow has a collection of music you can use, as long as you give correct accreditation at the end of the piece as well as in the written copy of the text that accompanies it wherever it goes.

Thanks ... do you have links to Podshow.
I have been informed that as a PSSA member we can use ZA Music as long as it is non-commercial.

Recently re-branded as Mevio Music Alley (http://music.podshow.com)
Non-commercial yes, but you published it on the web. So anybody can imbed that clip on a website and make money from advertising and members fees... it is now "content" not an AV on a single disk to be displayed privately or at the club....
