Avian lovers, puzzling partners
For all you Avian enthusiasts. At work today I discovered a Wagtail parenting and feeding I'm not sure what type of bird the entire day. I have witnessed this behavior before but never mismatched as such. Could the bird have lost it's parents and desperately tagged onto another who knows? Anyway just thought I would share.

Looks like a Diederik Cuckoo chick.
Old Robert's, mentions the red bill.
That luckless wagtail's got a job on it's hands
Nice shots :-)

Unwitting foster parents charged with raising a Diederik Cuckoo chick - they are going to work their (wag-)tails off feeding it.
Good sighting - get as many shots of the chick while it is still around as one does not see them all that often in the open.

Wow, stunning shots showing this behaviour, almost perfect but for that wire reminder of our security issues! Beautiful shots.

great opportunity well captured!
if I have it correct the cuckoos kick out the eggs of the foster parents so their egg can be the sole focus of attention...
