CS3 Crashing
I recently got a copy of CS3 (new, sealed in a plastic sleeve in the box, which I opened ) ,I installed it on my Mac, Bridge, Device Central, the Help viewer , as well as Adobe Stock something(which has since been discontinued by adobe) all opens , but when I want to open photoshop it tells me : The application Photoshop has unexpectedly quit.
and I can cancel or send a crash report to adobe, it accepts the serial no, because it gives a green sign indicating it is the correct serial no, I haven't been in photoshop yet because it keeps on crashing.
Any ideas what the problem could be,
thanks

Re: CS3 Crashing
I had a similar problem develop with CS3 when I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard. If my memory serves me it was because my HD wasn't formatted as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)".

THere is an issue with snow leopard and cs3. They are still fixing it and it should be resolved in update 10.6.4

Re: CS3 Crashing
- Try to open an image file and PhotoShop crashes
- Try to save a new file and PhotoShop crashes
- Try to save an image opened in PhotoShop from Bridge and PhotoShop crashesIn some cases, the problem may be a font conflict, potentially caused by Suitcase Fusion auto-activating fonts that are already installed and activated by Leopard. Try removing duplicate fonts from /Library/Fonts, restarting your Mac, then re-opening the afflicted InDesign files, or temporarily disabling Suitcase Fusion.
