Re: dell 2209wa
just got my two dell 2209wa's about 3 weeks ago - I can say this - the colours are good and well worth money. As for the 1050 as a apposed to the 1080 cant really say im going to miss it too much its not full HD res but with the monitor being really spot on with the colours and the nice extra usb ports etc cant say im really needing to have the Full HD Ive watched a few movies etc does not really worry me too much.

Thanks hioctane, got mine today, now another question, I want to use a second monitor for lightroom tools. does the resolution of the second monitor matter. I want to get a small cheapie for this purpose. By the way the dell is brilliant!!!

Thanks Kay, did you use the dual monitor with photoshop. If you did how did you set it up, or any body else???

Ive used it but I can tell you the resolution difference can be annoying so the best option is to buy one with the same resolution as you tend to loose the mouse or the one screen shifts around. If both the monitors are calibrated its not to bad but just make sure the dell is where the photoshop works.

I used this setup with Lightroom, running a full-size grid on the small screen and the adjustment panels + loupe on the main monitor. There are plenty of other configurations to explore within Lightroom. You can play with these even on a single monitor from the Window -> Secondary Display menu.
