    Talking Printers and presentation.

What do you use as final presentation?

Slides, DVD, Projection or hard print?

    Why?

What do you use for your presentations?

Do you still print at photoshops?

Just picking all the brains out there!

Thumbs up Re: Printers and presentation.

    Hi there

Though I keep most of my pics on CDs, I still prefer to have hard copies (at least a few) in my albums. I guess it is nothing like the old way.

Recently, after much research, I bought my self a Epson PhotoMate photo printer. It cost P850.00 (including Botswana VAT). Excellent printer with photo quality equal to (if not better) that of photo printing shops.

    Cheers

    Hi,

I found that, to take full advantage of digital, you have to take part in the whole process. From taking the picture to PC to printing.

I decided to invest in a large format Epson printer, it made my prints a lot cheaper, faster and with better quality control (myself).

I do a lot of prints in the 40x30 and 60x40 size range.

    Regards

Hi - I use the Canon I560 for normal printing and the Canon Ip4000 for all my derious works.
Before the IP4000 i used the Canon I865.

i found that these printers are very economical and the printing is brilliant.

I do need a better program to do my DVD / Vcd Slideshows - At present I use Ulead Video Studio 7 SE DVD. and I'm not happy with the result. Seems grainy even with my Canon 350D shots.

I mainly store my images on hard disk or CD/DVD. If I print anything , it is usually at PROLAB, there is no way one can print at the same quality at the same price at home!!
But, then again, what do I know?!

    Hi,

If you're printing anything larger than jumbo's I can do it cheaper than the prolab. They buy bulk jumbo paper and I hardly print anything that small.

For example.A 40x60cm will set you back R175 at the PL if you're a club member. I'll sell it to you for R100, and my quality control is flawless.

Printed on a Epson Stylus Pro 4000, Epson paper and Ultrcrome in. Fade resistance - 80 years colour, 120 years B&W.
