    is this a good lens? How does it compare with the 1.2 and the 1.4??Big differences in price!

    Marks advice to me. If you are looking for a brilliant prime lens for portrait work. Look no further than the Canon 85 f1.8. Great price and unbelievable IQ and boque. If you are on a budget, the nifty fifty will do the trick, but may not last as long and does not enjoy rough handling etc..
