I looked at some binoculars today, I have read up on the various guides on what to look for etc.

Does any one know the Steiner brand of binoculars? The seem to be well respected german company but I havent found any direct comparisons / reviews that include them. They seem to mostly include nikon lacia pentax and a few other brands

I was looking at their skyhawk 8 x 32 or the safari ultrasharp 10 x 30 compared to the R500-600 binoculars I looked through in the past I can see they are vastly superioir but I have know Idea how they would compare against other similarly priced binoculars., arround R2500 - 3300?

The skyhawk has better lightgathering ability and slimline design but is almost R1000 more.
